Very Happy

I purchased this generator about a month ago and really couldn't be happier! I put the oil in it, put in some gas, opened the vent on the fuel cap, switched it to start and didn't have to give it a full pull for it to start. I've since used it when the power company shut down the power grid due to the high winds in our area and it did everything we needed it to.
I'm going to be adding a transfer switch on the house and adding a 2nd iGen2200 to parallel to this one to power up most of the house for the next power outage.
It's lightweight and really quiet to!

excellent generator

This is a preliminary review - I tested this generator on a space heater for 30 minutes. It generated 12.5 Amps, 1500 watts and I put it on eco-mode. The heater functioned normally. Aprox. 2 ounces of fuel was used. Eco-mode should be used for devices using less than 50% of the generator's capacity but this model automatically produces whatever energy is required up to the maximum output. As soon as the heater was unplugged, the generator reduced output and quieted down. It's much quieter in eco-mode but still more quiet than my neighbor's generator 100 hundred yards away when putting out 1500 Watts. Do not use indoors and use the appropriate extension cord for the appliance being powered. The 12 gauge, 50' cord attached to the heater used in this test stayed cool to the touch.

Great product

Bought to cope with California power outages. Easily powered refrigerator, furnace, TV, oxygen concentrator and a couple of lights. Very quite & a real gas miser.

Hard to start

It runs fine and it isn't too noisy but it takes lots of pulls to start. I have an outboard motor on a dinghy that takes some pulls so I am used to it but this can exhaust you trying to start it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used for 1st Time During PG&E Outage of 2019

It worked well & we got through 15 hours of down time with only 1 fill-up at the 11 hour mark. The instructions are confusing though. If this is true: "Everything you need is in the box The iGen2200 also comes with Oil, Funnel, Tool Kit, Manual, and Quick Start Guide," then where is the grounding kit per "Be sure the inverter is properly connected to earth ground before operating (User Manual, p. 11)? It took me a couple hours to find a place that could make one for me.

Easy to use

I mostly use this generator for softball practices where I have multiple pitching machines running and a dozen players charging their phones. It is relatively quiet and easy to operate.

I bought this on sale March 1 2019 on sale for a truck camper was planning to purchase so haven't used much but starts easily
I had a friend that used his Westinghouse generator 8 hours a days 5 days a week for over a year and ran dependable just adding gas & changing oil
