Just purchased this little beauty. Not one damage mark on her. Extra tools included beyond the advert. Extremely simple for initial set up and to get re-started in less than 3 minutes after an emergency! Excellent features, 2 AC adaptors, 2 USB ports for that indispensable phone charge during any disaster and quieter than my neighbors Air conditioner outside my patio door!! Ugggg... Highly recommended for home emergency, even a 1hr blackout so you have the peace of mind knowing that invaders from Mars are not on their way? lol An absolute MUST for camping, either in your motorhome, or pickup truck or tent.
I purchased 2 brand new extension cords, 1 new inexpensive multi port AC/USB plug in hub and multiplied my outlet possibilities by 200%... Love this unit, am and old guy and know the high quality of the Westinghouse name, and the way overpriced name of ‘HONDA’ etc..... Good luck... :)

Peace of mind in a small package

This generator comes with everything you need to get started, except for gasoline. It's a good value for your most basic backup needs like keeping your fridge running and phones charged during a power outage, as well as a portable solution for when you're off the grid while camping, etc.

Excellent generator, perfect timing

We ordered this generator in August and it was delivered in September. It arrived the Monday before Hurricane Sally hit the Gulf Coast. We were without power for many hours. I had done the break-in cycle on it when it arrived, so it was ready to go. We plugged our freezer and refrigerator into it and it hummed along like a champ. It used maybe half a tank of gas keeping our food cold during the outage.
The generator is light enough to carry if you're reasonably fit. Wheels and a rolling handle might be considerations for future versions. It ran quietly. Our backyard has a privacy fence, and from the front yard you could barely hear the hum.
Many reviews state that the generator started up on the first pull. Ours did not. It started up on the 4th.
I plan to get a second unit in the future. We have a large 10,000 watt generator but it is very loud and not easily portable. Two of these iGens would power just about anything we'd need to run for a reasonable amount of time on less fuel.
