Starts right up and its not too loud. This is my second one and i purchased the parallel cord as well.

Love this thing. Went camping with some friends that had one and immediately knew I had to get one of my own! It ran all weekend long with a speaker and a pitboss hooked up and had some of our electronics charging with no issues. And it’s so quiet we forgot it was even there.
