It is a new purchase, I have a Honda 2000 watt generator and the Westinghouse generator is just as quiet. Is was super easy to start . From out of the box to start the instructions were clear and straightforward. Two pulls and the unit started . The generator runs as it should, quiet and producing power as needed. ECO switch worked great, keeping rpms low until needed .

Great inverter generator

This is a great inverter generator. Just as light, quiet and reliable as a much more expensive major model I own. I am pairing two of the igen2200 and they easily handle our RV's air conditioner. We have two RVs, both 30 amp, one with a 15k a/c and the other a 13.5k. These two units easily handle the load without a soft start. I did try using the softstartup portable unit with just one of the inverter generators, but each a/c was too much for the setup.
