Great For My Needs

I purchased this generator to run small appliances during power outages and when mobile power is required in remote areas. Have used it some already and it seems to function well. Time will tell on durability, reliability, and ability to meet my needs.

Lightweight and average sound

I bought this a month ago to use for my camper. It provides really good power and is able to run my camper while also running my air conditioner! I took off 1 start because while it states that it is quieter than the HF equivalent, it didn't seem quieter at all. Would be interested in using it in parallel and was happy to see they included parallel cable.

Great for Power Outages

I bought this during a recent power outage in our area. It kept our refrigerator and chest freezer running while only using 20% of it's capacity. Very pleased with this purchase.

Started 1st pull. Ran 5000 btu air conditioner and

I read many reviews of various generators and chose the igen2200. I followed the directions and generator started on the 1st pull. I purchased a magnetic oil plug and saw a very small amount of metal dust and particles after 5 hours. I changed the oil to 100% synthetic and reassembled. I ran the gas tank dry on the break in by not filling the tank. I added a small amount of gas after the oil change and it again started on the 1st pull. I read some negative comments about removing the cover and breaking the tabs, and the cover poorly made. Instructions might be clearer about the tabs and screws but if you take your time and see how it as fastened it is easy to remove and reattach. Take the two screws out and run your screwdriver around the gap and the pressure pins will pop loose and the cover lifts out. It will be easier the 2nd time.
