I needed a small generator for short-term power outages. The iGen2550c fits the bill perfectly.....easy to start, light weight, and perfect for running electronic equipment a PC, refrigerator, internet modem, microwave, etc.
Very good first impression of this dual fuel generator (Gasoline and Propane). Manual clear and understandable to prepare for operation and long term maintenance. Came with all the accessories such as Propane connection, engine oil, tools, funnel to add oil. Not too heavy so it can still be carried with one arm. Added oil and gasoline and it started up on first pull! Quiet operation and even more quiet in “eco mode”. Had it running for a while, therefore no long time experience as of yet. Did not run it with Propane as of yet neither. Checked it out with about 1600 VA load without reaching high RPM and not much noise increase. Although the free floating ground is no problem for the consumers (fridge, fan, lights, electronic device charger, hot plate), from a safety point I use it with a ground rod. This is going to be a backup in case of extended power failure.
This is the second Westinghouse generator I’ve owned; after RV traveling during 2020-21 with the 4000w inverter model. Build quality is top notch and all features needed. I’ve added an hour meter to keep track of maintence schedules.
I've only had this generator for about a month, but so far I'm super impressed! It's lightweight, quiet, and seems to sip fuel. Time will tell, but for now I like it a lot!
