Delivered quickly.

We bought this several days ago, it was delivered very quickly. Since our electricity goes out occasionally, we are anxious to use it if need be. It is not real heavy and very portable.

Great Features and Operation

In researching 2500 Watt Inverter Generator's, I found Westinghouse iGen2550 inverter generator the best value with great features for the cost. I will use the generator for my RV, one deciding factor was to 30AMP plug, so I don't need an adapter to plug in my trailer. The 1800 Running watts on gas will operate all features on the RV including my AC. I'd recommend this generator to anyone. It's the best value and features on the market tday!

Defective Engine Fuel Control on 2+ units!

My replacement unit that Westinghouse sent me has the exact same problem as the original unit I bought... The "Fuel Off-Engine ON" position on the Engine/Fuel control knob does not shut off the flow of fuel to the carburetor--- it is supposed to stop the flow of fuel but let the engine continue running so that it will run the fuel out of the carburetor for storage... But it only shuts off the flow of fuel when in the "Engine OFF" position. I don't know if the wrong parts are being installed on the assembly line or what... but two generators in a row (and I would assume a majority of them at this point...) with the exact same problem and assembly dates 5 months apart... and that's not right, it seems there is a definite defect with these units.
The generator is very quiet at low power outputs, but if you load it up to the rated power output, that little 80cc engine has to work hard, and it does make some noise at full output.
This could be a 4.5 star genny if the controls worked properly... but 2 units with the exact same problem... knocks it down to 2 stars. However, Westinghouse Customer service was good and shipped me the replacement unit with no hassle, so maybe it should be 3 stars...
I would definitely recommend if they can get the Engine/Fuel control thing fixed...

Great Generator

purchased this generator for our RV travel trailer. It's perfect for dry camping. Compact and light, runs well on propane and has enough power to run our lights and recharge our two batteries.
