Dual fuel iGen2550

Purchased this as a power backup for a house in the rare event that power is lost for more than a few hours. For short blackouts I have a BLUETTI 180? that will power the essentials like refrigerator freezers and air handler and some led lights.
I like this dual fuel bc I don’t want to have to drain all the gasoline from tank and carburetor each time. Just opened the box and set it up for propane tank operation. Starting requires some fiddling with the choke but not too bad. It is harder to restart it after running than from cold. Still better than dealing with gasoline. Ofc propane is more expensive than gasoline, but this is only used once in a blue moon. Efficiency is not a goal.
Ofc it cannot power the whole house. But it can power the essentials as long as you have fuel.
Noisewise it is comparable to a Honda eu2000. Very acceptable even just sitting in the open without sound box. Comparable to the big automatic Generacs connected to natural gas that some neighbors have.
For an emergency solution I think it checks the boxes.

Powers everything I need. Was not sure if such a small generator would do the job, but this little gem does it in spades. Very light weight also.

Exceeds expectations

Bought to use for our pull trailer but love that it is a great backup when house power goes out! Haven’t tried gasoline yet, but it runs quietly and efficiently on propane. Am extremely happy.

So Far Very Reliable

Was easy to set up, started right up with a couple of pulls. I've been running the generator on propane so far, haven't put any gas in it yet. Still breaking it in, keeping the load below 50%. I bought two generators as I want to run them in parallel to run an RV with air conditioner. Haven't hook them up together yet. No issues so far.

Great for RV,ing

The generator came with everything needed to get started. It’s light weight, but powerful enough to run my rv and one ac unit. I like that it has a 30 amp rv plug receptacle. It has a gas shut off valve and it’s also easy to drain the carburetor for storage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's a small, compact unit which makes it easy to handle. I like the way the unit operating ports and switches are well marked and easily accessible. This is a very good machine, it works well for me and I am very glad I have it.
