I needed to upgrade my previous generator and came across this model. I run a business out of my home and can't be without power. This generator will supply me with plenty of power giving me piece of mind.

Won’t run power breakers keep tripping from manufa, huge line up shared and Westinghouse corp says ohh sorry we will schedule a repair!! What about my work load and a new unit won’t function properly!!!

Great generator

With this purchase it makes it my second Westinghouse, my other Generator is a 9500DF. I was very satisfied with the first one and decided to go bigger.

Hidden disappointments

Carbon monoxide sensor renders the unit almost unusable. Any running engine will emit carbon monoxide. As soon as the sensor recognizes any amount within inches of the unit, your out of business. Mandatory disablement.
Totally absurd that the fuel system cannot be drained. I would really like to know why Westinghouse would intentionally ignore such an important factor.
The unit was designed to accept a convenient trickle charge, but for some reason, there is no explanation of how to use it.
The overall unit has a lot of fantastic engineering design, but lacks on a few of the obvious.

Kept us cool during Beryl

Luckily I bought this a few weeks before Beryl and it kept our 2,400sqft house up and running for the 6 days we were without power. I had installed a soft start on the AC, so it ran it all perfectly.
I will note that the generator came with a 3/4" nat gas hose an not the 1/2" indicated online, it has a 3/4" female QD on one end (gen side) and male on the other. You will need a 3/4" QD set up to connect to your natural gas line. The part numbers for oil filter in the book are worthless, Westinghouse parts is out of stock and don't offer a cross. I use the WIX 57145XP, not sure on the air filter as I haven't figured that one out yet.
