Easy Start. Quiet, low harmonic Distortion

I bought this unit a month ago. Semi Truck delivery to my home a very pleasant and helpful driver unloaded this unit from his truck with a motorized fork lift/dolly. He delivered it into my garage. Unpacking an extremely well packaged and protected item like my generator was a bit of a challenge however the effort was well worth revealing a fabulous new Westinghouse generator in perfect condition.
I went through the stop procedures, minimal, plugged it into my home system and with a touch of a button was generating Low Sine 240 volts to power my entire house including my whole house AC. Only run on propane so far hate to put gas into it yet :=). Works great low noise level 74 Db especially compared to my replaced Honda EB 11000. Thank you Westinghouse.

Powerhouse

I set this generator up to run my house. Plugged it directly to the breaker box from the 50amp plug. It worked flawlessly. Only had a bit of a drag on it when the a/c kicked on (as expected). Carried the load easily on propane. It is pretty quiet for a generator this size. I couldn’t be more happy.

Top of the line

I brought this generator in May and have used it a few time when the power went out. We had a 50 Amp connection wired to the house. My house is all elect and the generator ran everything in the house including the AC. I have only used propane up to this point. My house is a 2100 sq ft home and it had no problem powering everything.

I spent months looking for the right generator for my home, no doubt pushing 100 h of research online (and loud eye-rolls from my better half). I debated a whole home generator and, while I could get more power, I could not easily take it with me should I move, plus the significantly higher price tag. For the frequency of power outages we get in central Texas, the WGen12000DF was the perfect mix between power, features and price. Especially attractive to me was the ability for the dual fuel option and the very low TDH% (I didn't want to worry about all the electronics that could be plugged in at the moment when the generator came on). Do your homework and take time to shop around; but if you're looking for a powerful generator you can't go wrong with this one.

Easy to unpack and while relatively heavy, very easy to move around with the wheels and handles. Only complaint with setup relates to connecting the battery. The battery is tucked away and part of it goes behind the wheel making it very hard to get the screws loose in order to remove the battery to connect the battery leads. I'd recommend either changing the placement of the battery to make it easier to reach or changing where the connectors are on the battery so they are more accessible in current position or changing instructions to hook up battery before wheels are put on. We haven't connected it to our home yet but once that gets completed I'll do another review on overall use/effectiveness.

Great Power

The generator came very well packaged and protected. After un-crating and unboxing, put wheels on, connected battery, put in ol and gas and it started up and ran flawlessly. The unit is heavy, but even my wife can wheel it outside. Im looking forward to may years of service from this generator. It powers my entire house and I have a 3 ½ Ton AC unit. Great value.

Arrived in perfect condition. Followed enclosed instructions and it started right up on propane. Ran for 30 minutes. No issues. Paired the remote. Used the box for cover in garage by cutting handle and wheel slots. Came with nice oil drain hose connected. Did not attach lift hook so it would fit in space I had for it and in box for dust cover.

Awesome whole house generator!

Awesome generator - received this at the end of June due to some delays. Once it arrived; hooked it up and tested it out with my transfer switch (yes supports transfer switch!) and it powered literally everything i needed it to which was everything in my house - The true test! Washer, dryer, ceiling fans, fridge, stove, 2 FL HVAC unit - you name it, this thing can do it and with the smart features and remote start - super easy to operate! So glad I bought this - comparable to Generac and way cheaper!
