Works good

Power already went out (had less than a month). Easy to hook up and start. Temp was cool so no central air running.

Great Features

Product requires some minor assembly but very simple. Have not operated the unit yet but I like the layout of the control panel. The battery charging port is a really nice feature. The terminals on the battery need to be located on top simplify battery connections. Also a place to store the spark plug tool and oil funnel would be nice. Changing the oil looks to be a messy encounter. Maybe extending the drain beyond the frame or enlarge the hole near the drain plug.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had the generator three months, won't start, can't find the battery to replace it, and can't get anyone on the phone for help. So far not terribly impressed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just purchased this, assembly was easy. Did test run, started very easy, ran smoothly. Haven't had to use it yet, but will be powering my small house in emergencies with it.

Solid unit with lots of potential

Based on a couple of test runs the WGen12000 seems to be a pretty good unit. Everything was in good condition out of the box, and the little bit of setup required was easy. Just be prepared for the weight! Until you get this thing to the point when you can roll it on the wheels, it can be tough to manipulate 300+ lbs of generator.
So far I've done a test run with about a 20 Amp / 120 V motor load (2400 W). Once the generator kicked up out of idle, it didn't hiccup at all with those two loads going on and off. Idle is relatively quiet, but it does get loud under load.
The generator has an electric start with no manual pull start option, which is to be expected for a motor this size. No complaints here, just remember keeping up with your battery is one more maintenance item. I added an SAE battery quick disconnect so that I can use my own battery tender. The WGen comes with a DC charger and port, but I doubt the charging circuitry is on par with a true tender. The battery is going to be plugged in 99% of its life, so I'd rather not chance a flat battery when I do need it.
I will be wiring the house for a 50A/240V inlet with a breaker interlock. Looking forward to being able to power most, if not all, of the house when needed during outages.
