Great Generator

I purchased this generator for power backup for our house. I have a 10 circuit transfer switch that I powered with my welder that also produces 8,000 watts. We have several 2 to 6 day power outages each fall and winter and have been using the welder for several years but it's not big enough to power our well along with the 10 circuits. This generator allows us to power everything we need, well, freezers, refers, wood furnace combustion blower and circulation fan, sewer lift pump, water reservoir pump, TV, computers and enough lighting to be comfortable.
It started with the first push of the start button. Really like with one quick push it sets the choke and starts the starting sequence. Also the remote start will be really nice when the power goes out during a blizzard.

Unreliable piece of garbage

Unreliable since I bought it brand new. Incapable of running more than 10 minutes without shutting itself off. The power went out here about 90 minutes ago. I fired this up and it has been up and down about 10 times since then. It shut off in the middle of writing this review. The problem? Who knows? Run out there and push the button and it starts right up and runs for another 10 minutes and shuts off. Troubleshooting guide very helpfully says on point 4 "maybe the problem is in the generator. Take it to a service center". Ok, it is brand new with not even 10 hours on it (I can't keep it running that long). My advice? BUY SOMETHING ELSE or sit in the dark.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RV’ers Dream

We bought this to power our Grand Design Solitude 5th wheel. It easily powered the 50 Amp RV with 3 A/C’s, full size fridge, microwave and all of our accessories. Both fuel sources work well with gas lasting a bit longer than propane. It is heavy but what do expect for a generator with these features. Have used it to run power tools as well. No problem. Would definitely recommend. BTW - called customer service just see how they would respond. They answered my questions with ease and kindness.

Everything is laid out perfectly.. unit runs quiet. I was surprised to find an oil cooler on the unit .. well done !!!
