VERY Disappointed So Far

We ordered two of these expensive generators. They say not to exceed half load during the first 5 hours. So, we decided to run it with a small load for 5 hours to have it ready to do during a power failure. So far, it has randomly died a few times. When it does, it's as if it tries to recover, but then dies and you can re-crank it after about 30 seconds. This is not going to work during all night power failures. Additionally, neither until had the washers in the box for the axels, or the trickle charger for the batteries. These are 20,000 watt units. They have no pull rope, so if the battery is dead when you need it, you're out of luck. They're supposed to come with a charger that can be left attached so the battery is hot when you need it. This is referenced throughout the manual, yet neither of my units arrived with one. If they keep dying, If you buy one, use your American Express card so you're protected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad starter multiple times

This is our second Westinghouse and it has a second bad starter. Manufacturer knows this and sent us a new starter. It was installed and still had. If I could, I would get my money back, but the manufacturer says they will send a new starter when the “good ones” come into stock as they had a whole set of bad starters. And the place I bought it from won’t take a return. Looking forward to Westinghouse sending me the updated, good version of the starter so that my brand new 12000W generator will finally work.

Easy setup easy use.

I bought this after buying a DuroMax duel fuel 13Kw, which would not work on propane. The WGen12000DF worked right out of the box. Very straight forward installation and usage.

What a great generator!

I received the wgen12000df in a relatively short time after ordering. After initial setup, this thing fired right up. It had no problem powering everything I threw at it (all house led house lights, fridge, sump pump, fans, tv's, 3 ton ac unit, ect). I very impressed with how the generator maintains the 60 hz at various loads.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I followed the well explained assembly/operation directions in the user manual. Pushed the auto start button and it instantly started!! I have a lot of machines on our property and this machine was the 1st one I ever had start on the 1st try! We have a water well on our property and I'm looking forward running it with this generator.

Needed this the day after it was delivered (hadn't even finished getting it ready yet), and before the electrician had run a 50a outlet.
used a long heavy duty extension cord to power my wife's oxygen machine and a few other things.
Used Propane and couldn't be happier, now just waiting for electrician to run the actual 50a hookup and I'll be all set.
Was easy to setup, ran fantastic, no issues at all.
Will recommend to anyone that listens!

Great Product

I originally wanted a whole house generator in case of a hurricane.
I also wanted a generator that I could take with me when I downsize and this one fit the bill. A "standby "generator would have to be sold with the house no money added to house value. This portable generator is big enough to power my current house and mobile so that when we downsize it will be able to power any smaller size house and have room to spare.
