I just got this WGen20000C recently. I was looking to upgrade from my existing 9,500 Champion 30 Amp model so that I could run my whole house if needed. I am just getting it setup and going through the break in period. I will updated my review once I have used it more.
On the surface it looks to be well built. It started fairly quickly and runs smooth. I have only put about 1.5 hours on it thus far in the low idle mode. The unit is very large and consideration must be given to adequate storage. I keep my current generator in a locked storage room so it stays dry and out of the weather. I will be constructing a storage cubby for this one large enough to house it. Its heavy but fairly easy to move on the wheels. Once I have upgraded my 30 amp house connection, I will test my whole house after the break in period is completed.

Unbox, assembly & Break in review.

I purchased the 28,000 this season because it's one of the only portable generators capable of powering my entire property. I like that I can run the house off the 50amp outlet and run the well pump off the 30amp outlet at the same time.. without over working the machine. Now this is not a long term review, because I have not ran the machine longer than the break in period. But my unboxing, assembly and break in of what I received has been impressive. The packaging is proper, on a hand built wood platform, adequate for the massive size and weight. The assembly was simple and not full of unnecessary steps to get the generator ready. This is important, because maybe you need power immediately and don't want to fart around.. and I like that the machine came with a quality break in oil, looks like a Castrol product. The first start up was without issue. And for a 999cc engine, this thing is surprisingly quiet. So far I am very pleased. I have faith that the quality I feel in my hands, will be dependable when the power is out. Don't plan to lift this without 4 of your best men.. your gonna need an equipment hook.

First Generator had to be returned due to flames coming out of the exhaust at break-in. Return process was easy and I got another one with a discount for my troubles. Break-in tomorrow and we expect better results. It's got the power that we need.

Bought less than a month ago after a long storm season here in Florida.
Had a smaller generator to get through but this one after giving it a test run
should really put us over the top. Almost look forward to the next outage, almost.
