Started first pull! very quiet by got a little loud when put under full load. Ran my RV air conditioner, lights and refrigerator no problem.

Started 1st pull out of box, very quit

Bought this generator for a sailboat & travel trailer. Very impressed by starting very 1st pull out of the box and is extremely quit.
I was hoping it would run the AC on the trailer and sailboat. I tried running the A/C on the travel trailer but after a few tries I only got it to start once or twice, every other time it would trip the generators overload. I will purchase a soft start for the A/C units which should allow the units to run. I didn't want a larger heavier generator and this is the most powerful rated unit I could find only weighting 48lbs.

Works good but has a small putter when it idles

Works good, good power and everything only complaint is that the engine has a small putter when it idles, just something I find annoying. But most of the time it is loaded up and is fine.

Check sparkplug

After reading other people's reviews about sparkplug problems, I pulled and checked the plug. The insulator of the plug had two large cracks in it. Replaced the plug and ran for four hours, no other problems. Waiting for a call from tech rep to discuss replacing the sparkplug.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly what I had hoped for

Cons:

This little devil turned out to be everything that I had expected and hoped for. The box arrived somewhat damaged, but I went ahead and opened it anyway, and the generator was just fine.
There's a small container of oil and a funnel that come in the box. It took almost no effort to fill the oil reservoir; just pop the cover off and fill it up. My generator took the whole jug of the provided oil. I did not add any additional oil.
Before the first start, I filled the gas tank about halfway with ethanol free gas from the local Bucees. I choked the engine, and it started on the first pull. After about 5, maybe 10 seconds, it became clear that it no longer needed the choke, so I dialed it down to the "Run" position and the generator ran just fine.
The parallel cable works very well. Another guy at the office bought the same generator and the parallel cable, so we tested it out with a series of shop fans and a portable A/C unit. The load balancing appears to work well (18% & 26% with fans; 80% & 82% with A/C and fans).
10/10 would recommend!

I have limited storage space for a inverter/generator, so I shopped for the most power in the smallest footprint and the iGen2500 won hands down. Lots of features in a small managable package.
