A Camping Must

Just took delivery on the last day without power from Hurricane IDA. Actually purchased to start some PU Truck camping.

Frustrating first start.

100 plus pulls and couldn't get my new igen 2500 to start for the first time. Come to find out the junk spark plug westinghouse puts in these units wasn't producing spark. After replacing the plug with a new one....Bam first pull she fired to life.

Second iGen2500. Now I parallel the two units to power larger loads when needed. Quiet, dependable, smart portable power.

Easy start and not too loud

The generator starts and operates easily. All the tools needed for set-up and operation came with the product, including engine oil. The LED Data center is a nice feature to quickly see operational status. My needs for the generator are occasional recreation and electric tool use, plus emergency power for my refrigerator, a few lights and phone charging, in case of a power outage. The reasonable weight and
noise level were important features for me. I think the product will serve these needs well.

One negative, the Spark Plug Access Cover catch seems poorly designed and will not stay in place during operation. The cover vibrates loose during operation and can allow dust and weather to get in. I will try duct tape to keep it in place.

Great generator but has a pulsating issue due to a poor design gas cap with no ventilation…. Works great if cap is cracked open to allow ventilation
