Added oil and fuel. Turned the switch to choke start, pulled the recoil starter 3 times. Started right up. Moved the switch to run. After about 15 seconds ideal smoothed out. Proceeded with break in process by using the generator to run a small heater, which used 1,100 watts or 1/2 load for the generator. Ran for about an hour. WIll continue with the break in process. I'm very please with this little quite generator. Well made and quite.

Review of REPLACEMENT generator

My original iGen2500 developed quite a few small problems during the first 8 hours or so. I got to the point of "enough is enough". The seller arranged a prompt exchange. The replacement unit has only one very small issue, after completing 15 hours of break-in. The service cover, on the side, vibrates and makes a buzzing noise. I had some adhesive backed foam weatherstip material, and cut a couple small pieces to place between the service cover and the plastic case (generator "body"). Problem solved. When under a big load, it is not quiet. But it is less obnoxious than my big open frame generator. The digital display is a big plus. Starts easily with 1 or 2 pulls, even with my arthritic shoulder. If it gives good, reliable service over the long run, I would give it 5 stars.

Security in a small package.

I recently bought an iGen2200 to have on hand during short power outages. I live in Oklahoma and the weather can be extremely unpredictable year-round. I only wanted to be able to power a few appliances and not the whole house. The size of this generator is perfect for my needs. It's easy to move around and position outside the house where needed and it's quiet when it's running. We feel a lot more secure now knowing we can run our fridge and a few lights for a couple of days. The iGen2200 appears to be well-made and dependable. Maintenance is basic and easy to perform. I expect this product to serve our needs for many years to come.

I bought this unit just over a month ago. It works fine and I really like the features on it, but I do have a hard time starting it. I will see if it is something I can figure out and upgrade my overall rating. It takes between 15 and 30 pulls to start, but once running it runs well.

1 Gen Inverter Generator

I bought this unit, followed the directions, and it starts on one pull and does run for eight hours on a little over one gallon of gasoline. I broke it in as instructed, and can not wait to do the sump pump test , which I will be doing after I get the proper rated extension cord. So far, this is my full answer to when the power goes out, and the sump pump is just sitting, and the basement is getting more and more water in it by the hour. I already proved this unit will drive enough Watts, Volts, and Amperage to run the sump pump in place now, and push the water up and out just as if the current was coming from the Power Company. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who gets water in their basement, and worries that the power will go out during a windy, rainy, storm. This is a must if you want to protect your high dollar items like a gas furnace and a gas hot water tank.

Excellent design, easy operation

I purchased the iGen2500 to get me through a couple of power outings sure to happen this winter. I’ve tested it several times and am very pleased with how quiet it is. Also the helpful LED display is easy to read and understand.
I tested it in the field to run an electric hydraulic log splitter and to power a heater and a wet vac in my garage. I used the USB port to charge my phone just to make sure it worked during other tests.
It is easy to start, easy to maintain, and I confidently recommend this generator.

As quiet as my Honda 2200. Like digital display. One lever on-off-choke is nice
