Great Little Generator

This is an excellent generator for an emergency backup. It is easy to setup and comes with everything ( except gas) to get it going. It takes about 25 minutes to prep the generator for first use. Service access is easy with side panel removal as it comes with a great oil fill tube that prevents oil spillage when filling. You will need full choke to start it the first time and maybe a few extra pulls, but after that it usually starts on the first pull. I have run mine for about 10 hours now and have been very happy with the load capacity and it is a miser on fuel consumption. A side benefit of this inverter/generator is if your needs changes and you need more backup power, you can connect 2 together in Parallel. I would highly recommend this or any Westinghouse Generator product.

Awesome Generator so far

I just bought this and it is still in the break in period. It seems to be well made and has some good features, like the data center. It provides useful info. So far I like it but it has a couple of minor improvements I would like to see. The main one is the screws that hold the cover on. I would prefer that they be 1/4 turn with a fold down wing nut design or something else that doesn’t require a tool to remove. It is a bit bigger than I thought it would be and while light for a generator it is still a bit heavy.

Great little generator !

I purchased the iGen 2800 in late July. We were so impressed by how quiet and how much power it put out. We ran our tv, internet, direct tv, room air conditioner, and two fans. With all that it was only at 25% load. Liked it so well, we bought a second one for our daughter who lives in the city and has all underground utilities. Hope she never needs it, but at least it gives me peace of mind. By draining all fuel and running until it completely empty, it should last for years without any problems. Great product !

Started on the first pull, does barely start my AC
on August 31, 2024

I was looking for a small compact generator for mostly camping and also wanted it to be able to run my RV air conditioner if needed. The generator started on the first pole and does start and run my air conditioner. The overload light turns on for a second when I see starts but after that, it says 50% power . I had tried the 2550 thinking it would run my ac because my old 1800 Yamaha does but the 2550 dual fuel would not start the AC and also does not start as easily . I think it will work well .
Claims it was supposed to come with parallel cords, but did not.
