Prior 5300DFc threw its compression valve; Westinghouse was great about the warranty process, but decided to sell the replacement and upgrade to this. So far, breaking in just fine- fired right up. Nice that the trickle-charger is included. Changing the oil is a better process, less messy, than the 5300 and the cabling/wiring is well-managed and easy to follow. The dipstick is a bit hard to get to, making the oil funnel with an angled end necessary, but this is minor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just picked up yesterday, read the user manual, filled unit with oil and gas, connected the battery, paired the key fob, started unit and ran for 1/2 hr with different tools attached.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this inverter after Beryl in preparations for next year storm season, only tested it so far and I'm truly impressed with the performance, i even did a test on my 2and a half ton ac, and it ran it also and the whole house, although would recommend investing in Soft Start..

Quality solid and engine quieter than my Briggs & Stratton 5500W, 30A unit. Like the 50A upgrade and inverter for clean power to electronics and appliances

Not off to a good start

We bought the Westinghouse ecoGen 10000 very recently based on many favorable reviews and competitive prices. Although it started up fine, it does not produce power. We are now trying to trouble shoot and waiting for the advice of the electrician who installed our transfer switch. Internet sources suggest this may be due to loss of residual magnetism during shipping. Hoping that is the solution and that it can be quickly fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very reliable, Low THD

Bought this unit after the last storm related power outage. Had to use it once since and it performed very well. I was very concerned about high levels of THD on other models and the impact to sensitive electronics, so I went with the Inverter option. Battery does not seem to hold a charge very long so I need to reach out to the company for advise.
