We received the generator in mint condition, and started to use it right away. We were extremely impressed with the simplicity of the set up and how well the fit and finish of the unit. We opted for the WGen9500DF. It only makes sense to purchase a dual fuel generator, considering that sometimes it’s extremely difficult to storage gasoline, but not with the propane setting. If you leave in a coastal area prone to tornadoes and hurricanes, we strongly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

Plenty of power, Westinghouse quality

My wife has been after me for a few years to set up a generator for back-up power in our house. Last year there was a big snowstorm, but fortunately we only lost power for a few of days. We did end up having to throw out hundreds of dollars of food, though (refrigerator not powered). As this winter approached, I figured it was time to get that generator. The electrician that set up our panel interlock suggested the Westinghouse WGen7500DF. They were out of stock of this model, so I went ahead and got the larger generator.
The electric start feature is great. I love that it generates 220. This plus the extra watts allow us to leave all the breakers on in our house (except my Tesla charger, which is finicky about power) and not have to worry about scrimping every last watt to avoid overloading the generator. We have gas heat, water pump, and stove, but we're able to run the heater blower fan, any lights we want, the TV, Internet, a computer, refrigerator, and various lights. And this thing will pay for itself in a few years just in the savings from not losing food in the refrigerator.
The only negative I have is the noise. It really is quite loud compared to some of the smaller, inverter-style units that some of my neighbors have.

Within a week of buying i got to test it out in a real world situation. Worked flawlessly to power my whole home. Ran my fridge, computers, furnace, garage, lights, etc. Nice design/layout, easy to get to the parts for any possible future replacement, a solid frame and good wheels. What more do you need.

Easy set up ,simple directions, best of all is the wireless remote start/stop with built in auto choke setup. You don't have to mess with moving the choke lever back and forth every time you start the generator.

Clean running on Propane

Purchased this last month for PG&E's PSPS. Used twice so far with no problems. I am running on propane only and am seeing 12 hours run time on a 30 pound propane tank. Just did my 25 hour oil change. Love the features and versatility. I did have to disconnect the neutral from ground in order to make it work with my house transfer switch but that was super easy to do.
