Lots of power for the money

Just received the unit. Quick set up. Little assembly needed. Directions in the manual are clear as are the accompanying photos. Westinghouse has, thankfully. edited the manual well. The unit is packaged safely so the rubber parts were not damaged and there were no scratches or other unwanted marks. It runs smoothly, although I wish it were quieter. It has a fairly large set of wheels that helps with moving. My only concern is whether the towing handle (where it meets the frame) is strong enough to withstand use. There is a 3 year warranty and I trust the unit will serve well beyond that. After shopping around, this unit seems very price competitive.

Thoroughly researched before selection

I did extensive research and comparisons of many different different backup generators for my home, from small to large permanent installations. This unit will run off gas or propane, which might be a big deal when it matters. Push button or remote start might be a big plus for those that won’t like to tug on a rope. If I have to go outside to set it up, I’m already going to be wet or cold either way, but it’s cool. 12500 peak watts is a big deal as the built in inverter so I don’t have to worry about plugging in electronics (cell phones, laptops, etc.) With this unit, I also bought a 25’ long 30-amp , 250v power chord transfer switch (L14-30P) and a transfer switch (Tt-40 RV 30amp to L14-30P) as well as a “generator through the walk” transfer kit (WKPBN30) ( these three things give me a long extension cord designed to set the generator away from the house and I plug it into outside wall at the transfer box. Then I will have an 6 plug outlet inside the home. This is the perfect setup for the not so perfect storm that I hope I don’t have to use. I’ma contractor and buy a lot of generators for my guys (wholesale from another vendor) but this product is unique for its intended use and the price is absolutely right. Definitely a nice rig. You should be able to search the product numbers I listed above and get yourself ready. The transfer box is ready to install if you can drill holes.

Great Power, Easy Setup!

This morning I unpackaged, assembled and test ran the generator. Set-up was super easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. After installing the feet and wheels, I added the provided oil, connected the unit to a propane tank and connected the battery. The unit fired up perfectly and easily every time with the electric start button and key fob. Power output worked and I tested the load on power tools, lights and a hairdryer. No issues. Will install electrical plug-in for my panel with an interlock next week. Ready for the Texas storms.

Very easy to use and setup! Make sure you pay attention to the fuel cutoff. I tried starting it for 5 mins before I realize it was closed
