Was easy to assemble and started right up

After some minor assembling and adding oil and gasoline the generator started right up. I was able to use it on the first day.

I just bought this generator to handle the northern California blackouts that PG&E is creating to mitigate wildfires. I like having the option of using propane or gas, but I am having problems starting the generator. I'll have it hooked up to start with propane and the gen will crank but not start. So far I can only get it to start if I turn the selector switch to gasoline, try to start it, then switch back again to propane. I'm not sure why this happens and hope to fix it soon. Other than that, the gen works well, especially since I also need it to run the well pump. Lights will flicker a little when something big comes online, but that little inconvenience is nothing compared to not having power or water. I also like the easy connection for charging the battery. The generator feels like a solid, quality product and (unfortunately) I will be getting a lot of use out of it.

After researching other manufactures, I selected the WGen9500DF for its LP fuel option, capability and features. easy to set up. Using propane it started easily with the provided remote key fob.

First generator I've owned

Generator purchased at Lowes and delivered by sub-contracted service. Arrived undamaged. Set-up instructions clearly spelled out in manual and relatively simple. Started-up immediately. Ran one-tank of gasoline (5 gallons ran generator for approximately 7 hours). Switched to propane after gas ran out...again, started immediately after required adjustment for fuel change over. Brand new unit with only the use described above, but so far I'm completely pleased. Have an electrician scheduled to install transfer switch so that we can power entire house during future power outages. That will tell the tale regarding reliability, but the WGen9500DF seems well designed and sturdy. The price seemed quite reasonable for a unit large enough to power most energy needs for the entire house. Honda inverter generators, while undoubtedly great products are more than twice the cost of other brands of comparable energy output.

Best I seen out there for the price. Really like the fact that it came with a battery maintainer that plugs right into the panel. Solid rubber tires another plus. Has all the features on the panel that you could want . Really looking forward to putting this Generator in service....

.I like the remote start. grate for my cabin when i want to pump water. run my air conditioner, charge batteries. make coffee. What a grate idea .When finished just remote stop generator
