Powerful Machine

Bought Wgen9500DF on 8/8/21 and received it much earlier than originally promised. Easy to assemble with many great features to use. Love that it is a dual fuel machine. Easy start up and sounds great. Wheels and handle make it easy to move machine around. I recommend this machine.

Features match more expensive makes

The instructions are very easy to understand, with features that make me appreciate its versatility even more than I did when I initially purchased it. Although it is less powerful when used with propane, it is cleaner having propane cylinders than gasoline cannisters, but using both fuels makes it less likely that you will run out of fuel anytime soon. I also intend to hook it up to my breaker panel next year but in the meanwhile I can easily use the 4 120v outlets. I also like the comfort of using the fob that comes with it.
I have also been impressed with customer service so far. It arrived with one cracked wheel and cracked engine oil funnel. I got through to a real person fairly quickly, who was very helpful.

Great generator

This generator exceeded my expectation for a backup power source for my home. Living in Florida you need to prepare for hurricanes. Having duel fuel, push / remote start capabilities is a game changer . I have piece of mind knowing I have the WGen9500df as my back up generator.

Outstanding Generator (WGen9500DF)

I got this generator after the big Texas freeze in February 2021. After researching a number of large portable generators, the Westinghouse WGen9500DF was the undisputed winner for a number of reasons. It’s big (i.e., powerful) enough to run my whole house, including my 3.5 ton central AC unit. The power of this generator matches—even exceeds—the power of some standby generators! The dual fuel option is nice. Though it provides a little less power, I intend to use propane simply because, with propane, the gen will still meet my power demand. Propane is the cleaner fuel for the generator and is more environmentally friendly. It's also more conveniently stored than gasoline over an extended period of time. Although I can handle the recoil start, the electric start is a blessing. Plenty of outlets for plugging in power cables—each with its own circuit breaker. I intend to use the 50-amp outlet to feed my main breaker box. I haven’t set the gen up for use yet, but plan to have an electrician do it soon—we’re almost in the middle of hurricane season. I should add one more reason for opting for this generator: It has the name Westinghouse on it. Actually, that sums up all of the above!
