Excellent capacity, design and features

This generator has all of the features I was looking for in an upgraded emergency power generator. The design is compact for it's capacity, and has every control in an easily accessible location. The dual fuel capability offers flexibility, and the electric start (including the remote start/stop fob and a 110v battery tender/charger) with automatic choke provide excellent convenience. Everything was provided to get the generator ready to run other than fuel, and assembly took less than 10 minutes (attach 2 wheels, 2 rubber feet, plug battery cable connector together, add supplied engine oil). The generator performs perfectly using the emergency 30A outdoor connection point I have for the home. I am glad I made this purchase from a trusted brand. Thanks Westinghouse!

A Quality Westinghouse product !

My generator arrived six days early, got to like that. As a retired electrician, I am familiar with Westinghouse generation and distribution equipment, this generator is no disappointment. After unboxing I hoisted it up to eye level to install the wheels and mounting feet and give me a perfect opportunity to really give it a complete visual inspection. One problem,one of the inner mounting holes for the wheel axle had a burr that had to be removed before inserting the axle, Big Whoop! Hooked it up to propane and an electric heater to run it under a variable load for one hour shut it down for a rest then repeated for another hour.Flawless! I don't expect any problems when it is put in service.

Upgraded from a older generator with about half the power. The push button start is wonderful! Easily powers EVERYTHING in my 2600sq ft home including well pump, HVAC, sump pump, 3 refrigerators, 10 computers.... everything! Extremely happy with it.

Well built and has needed features

I bought this 9500DF generator a month ago to replace my still good smaller 6500 watt unit. I wanted a generator that would run my whole house with a 4ton A/C unit, during power outages. When I received the unit I ran it on Propane to brake it in, a few days later I put 5 gallons of Gas in and connected it to the house. It did a very good job with no problems, It ran for 6 hours on 5gls gas, max amps with ac running was around 28amps

Dead Battery

Opened box and assembled. Battery was already connected and seems to be dead. Plugged into equipped charger. Doesn’t seem to be taking the charge. Could be still low on oil and low oil shutoff is not allowing a charge to be indicated

Exceeds my expectations

My old generator stopped working for me just when I needed it. After researching various companies and models I chose the Westinghouse 9500 duel fuel. Upon delivery and "minor" assembly (install wheels and engine oil), I was delighted that it started on the first attempt. The generator comes with electric start, a remote control, and is actually smaller and quieter than my John Deere 6200 generator.
I never thought I'd say this but, I'm actually looking forward to the power going out!
