Great generator

I bought this by a recommendation since my current generator didn't work with the VDF sub drive I was trying to power, was hesitant at first but tried the Westinghouse WGen9500DF Generator and it worked!! And it's quieter, runs exactly at 240V steady. I recommend it for back-up power needs.

Great upgrade from pull cord start

Just purchased the WGen9500df as a backup power source for my lake house. This is replacing a pull start one that the recoil cord broke. Very easy to put the wheels and stabilizers on and fill with oil. Very nice that it comes with trickle charger for the generator battery. The remote battery is a common coin battery that will be easy to replace. I’m pleased with the push and remote starts. Tested out using the propane option and it was easy to attach my tank. The only failure was testing the pull start. You could tell it wanted to engage but I couldn’t give it the “umph” it needed. The push button start is my favorite feature. I’m ready for the next power outage and not dreading ripping the cord.

Close but no cigar

Did great for 4 months until it slung a rod. I maintained it exactly like the manual specified. It started getting even noisier than it already was and then….heard knocking and right before I could shut it down, it shut itself down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently purchased this generator to have for backup power during Florida storms. I unboxed it and set it up today. Instructions were very good and I was very pleased with the quality of the product. It did not take long and I tested it with the propane tank from my grill. It worked great! I used the remote start to start and stop it and I was impressed. This is the best generator I have ever owned! I would definitely recommend!
