I filled it up with oil and gas and the generator started on the 2nd pull after I plugged in the recharger to the battery. Unfortunately the battery was no good on the generator and I found out without any battery power the generator will not start. I will call customer service and see if they will send me a new starting battery.

Wanted a generator to run my house during a power failure. wanted duel in case gas stations were also without power. checks off all my boxes

After researching many different units, I decided on the westinghouse 9500df.
After unpacking and set up, it fired right up. everything works as it should, seems to be a quality machine, I believe I made a good choice.

GREAT GENERATOR!

I bought this generator in advance of the 2021 hurricane season, to replace a generator that I loaned out to a relative last year and never saw again. It is heavy; I needed help to unload, unpack, and to install the wheels and brackets. I added a little gasoline; the battery had plenty of charge and the generator started up with the first try. I tested with a couple of 110v appliances- worked great! I do hope that I don't need it this summer, but if we loose power, I am very glad I now have this generator. I should have plenty of power for my needs.

Runs whole house

This generator was wired to my main panel and runs everything in my house except my 5 Ton Heat Pump (not at the same time). I was worried about the 23% THD, but all electronics and my 3 UPS's all work fine on this generator's power. During the first 5 hours, the engine just quit 3 times. I changed out the "Torch" spark plug with an NGK and it hasn't quit on me again. I hope that was the problem.

I bought this generator a few weeks ago for my house but I’ve been using it for work to test it out and it’s awesome. I run it on propane with no issues
