Just bought for backup use and am so pleased. Seeing what happened in TX this spring really made me think about being prepared. It has all the thing I need and want for a better price that others in same class.

GREAT Generator WGen9500DF

I purchased this generator a month before this review. The main reason for the purchase is for a home backup during power outages. Lots of great reviews helped my decision. I really like the features. Dual fuel, electric & remote start (auto choke), 50 amp & 30 amp connections, and the rated fuel consumption vs other brands got my attention. I plan on using propane because it burns cleaner, does not gum up carburetors easily, and stores much longer than todays gasoline. Easy setup. After filling with provided engine oil (with provided oil funnel) & hooking up propane properly, the engine started on the first try. All electrical outlets worked. I plan on following the manuals directions for storage maintenance. Several thousand great reviews for this product. Westinghouse has a great reputation for customer service and products.

Back house generator....

Took 10 minutes to put the feet and wheels on and add the oil, charged the battery for 30 minutes. Was up and running in 45 minutes after getting it out of the box. Enough power to run most everything in my house.

Started right up - both fuels

I bought following our hard February freeze in Texas. My 4000 watt gen served us we'll, but gave us the insight to go larger.
After much review of available sizes, features and brands, bought the 12500 watt Westinghouse generator. After it arrived, I had it running on both propane and gasoline in about 20 minutes.
It is a high quality product with the features (12,500 w, dual fuel, electric start, remote start) that I want for that next coming disaster on Gaveston Island.
Highly recommended.

ROCK SOLID PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

Arrived in excellent condition. 30 minutes to unpack and install wheels, 2 feet, add oil, and plug in battery. Attached LP tank and pushed start and it started right up and ran perfect. It was probable 30% quieter than my old 4000 watt coleman powermate. Which is 30 years old and runs but in need for 9500 watts in south Texas for our hurricanes and deep freezes.
All plug covers fit tight and attached items seems to fit well.
