Purchased this Westinghouse WGEN9500DF for emergency power backup to our home. Absolutely a great generator with super added features. I installed it after carefully reading all paperwork and used it in conjunction with a backup power transfer switch. With remote starting I don't even have to leave my house. Built and designed very sturdy. I rate it a 10 of 10 for my purpose. Wanted a reliable unit and I feel this is one of the best on the market.

Awesome generator

I bought this to run our house during a power failure. It was very easy to set up. I hooked it up to propane to try it out and it fired right up! It is fairly quiet for the amount of power output. I only ran it a short time with an air conditioner attached to it but it ran well and handled it without a problem! The fact that you can flip between gas and propane on the fly is amazing! The remote start worked like a champ. I'm hoping to get many years of service out of it!

Read all the reviews, which were 95% all positive. The only negative ones were mainly dealing with shipping damage issues. Just received it yesterday, arrived in excellent shape. Set up and start up was easy. The only thing I needed to do was buy more 10W30 oil. The oil provided was barely enough to get it to the minimum safe level. I wasn't taking any chances just for peace of mind. I read some reviews about it being loud, not so. I put this together in my garage due to it being cold outside. When it started ( in my well ventilated garage) it was surprisingly quiet.

Love the electric start, runs smooth and quiet, easy to move. The initial start up was easy however had to buy more oil for the first start up. Can't give it a 5 because we haven't lost power yet to use it. Pretty confident that it will provide us the power to our house when that happens. No stress if storms are forecasted. Have recommended it to my sister.

I really like the dual fuel capability and long runtimes with either fuel. Setup was easy, but one axle bolt needed a littler persuading. High output with electric start. Including the battery charger was very nice. I'm sure other companies require you to purchase separately.
