Great Generator

We purchased the generator after a severe storm left us without power for an extended period and not wanting to experience that again. I wanted a generator that could power the majority of my house while still having portability. This unit fit the bill. For the house I installed a 50 amp transfer switch. This allows the unit to power my well, sump pump, heater, two freezers, and more from one cord. Apart from my central air unit this generator is able to supply power to my entire house. I love the flexibility of the dual fuel. We purchased a 100# propane tank as a backup for times when gasoline may not be readily available. I am very impressed with all of the many features of this generator. My favorite feature ended up being something that at first I thought unnecessary, the power remote. The remote allows me to turn the unit off and on from inside the house. A definite bonus during bad weather or overnight from the comfort of your home.

Starts so easy

I bought this and was so surprised that it was so easy to set up. It took only a few minutes to put the whelks on and hook up the battery.
I hooked up the propane tank and pressed the remote starter and just like that, it was running.

Best bang for your buck

I spent a lot of time looking into generators and decided to buy the westinghouse Wgen9500df because of the remote start(that works through at least 2 walls in my experience), the included wheel kit and the included battery with a built in tender. For a generator of this size with all of these features I couldn't resist.

The shipping box was torn a bit, however the generator was just fine. The only minor damage was that the oil bottle cap was cracked, though no oil had leaked. Instructions are well written.

Great quality

Bought this generator receently to replace our 20yr old unit. Was received on time and very well package, no shipping damage. Added oil, hooked to propane tank, connected battery and she fired right up !! So nice to have electric start!! No more pulling the cord until your shoulder hurts , and the remote is a very nice feature! Unit seems well built, hopefully will last a long time.
