Powerful

I live in Central Florida and I have been thinking about having a whole house generator fo several years. We have experience a few power outages due to hurricanes over the last two decades and it is very inconvenient to deal with for several days to a week. I purchased the Westinghouse Dual Fuel 9500 watt generator because it is powerful to run all of my key systems with the versatility of using gasoline or propane. Both are in short supply during a storm so the more options the better. I also liked the fact that it was a 50 amp generator with electric start. I just had a 10 circuit transfer circuit and an inlet plug outside to allow me to power my home without running extension cords. I ran a test when everything was completed and the 9500 started. I flipped on all circuits and the 9500 handled everything I threw at it. It was able to power 2 refrigerators, Hot water heater and water pump with no problem. The Generator did not bog down even when every thing was on including wall air conditioners, lights and fans. I cannot comment on how it will preform during a storm since we haven't had on yet. I am interested to see how many hours it will run on a tank of propane. I have purchased some larger tanks and have them filled and stored. I would like to be able to last 3-4 days without having to go out and search for fuel. So far, I am extrmely happy with this purchase. This Generator is well made, powerful and not very loud.

Works well

The generator arrived well packed and seems to be a quality unit. I have not tested in a real emergency - however I did manage to plug into house interlock setup and all the circuits I tested worked well. I bought a 100lb pound propane tank and the hose just about reaches - would have been nice if it was 2 feet longer. The hose come with a regulator - so no need to buy anything else. Make sure to read instructions in manual on how to switch to floating ground if you are going to use with a transfer switch or interlock setup. Once you have paired the remote start it works well.

A real lifesaver

With the recent PG&E power outages that we've been having recently I'll now be able to have power to make sure that I don't lose any more food products in my refrigerator or freezers!!

Well built unit

Purchased unit, delivered on time no pkg damage. Assembly was very easy and straight forward, everything fit together as designed. This unit is a great value for a whole house backup gen to connect to a manual transfer switch. Comes with a battery charger, spark plug wrench, propane hose and regulator, engine oil and funnel and wheel kit which is easy to assemble. Unit is clean, well built and runs well on both LPG and gasoline.

Great power!

We had 2 power distruptions this summer and I expect more to come. Majority ash trees are dead in the state aand WE Energies is not able to cut them all down. I only tried generator and it started right away. Right now electrician is setting all lines to connect to main panel if necessary. After he is done we will try it again to see how much power it can actually give. I expect conditioner, furnace, well, microwave, refrigirator and lights in one room. This product was recommended by electrician.

This is a Heavy Duty machine that every body that can afforded should have one for any circumstances in need special in emergencies in your house or a business, living in my childhood in a 3rd world country and now in a state that hurricanes at all levels likes to visit constantly this product after God can save you even your live, don't hesitate thinking twice to get one of this, We just got ours and haven't use it jet, I'm opened just now from the box and even If I never use it I have a relieve that it's there when I need it, looking forward to turned on to see if everything is in place!! So exited!!
