I recently purchased the Wgen9500df as a home backup generator. I wanted the dual fuel option because after Hurricane Irma we were without power for a few really hot days. We had a generator but it was gas only and the gas stations would not sell gas except to first responders, so having the propane option was essential for us. The generator was delivered in perfect condition and setup was easier than I expected. Just bolt the wheels and feet on, attach the battery connector, add oil and it was ready to go. I connected a 20 lb. propane tank, we pressed the remote start key fob (already paired and a great feature) and it started immediately. Another feature that is important is that this generator is much more fuel efficient than a highly recommended competitor. That matters after a storm when fuel can be difficult to procure.

Easy set-up

I received the generator earlier this week, completed the set-up steps, and cranked using the remote. Set-up and initial crank worked with no issues. I have not had an opportunity to use it yet, but hurricane season is getting into full swing.

We live in Florida and purchased this generator for hurricane season. Thankfully we have not had to use it yet, but we are thrilled with the power and ability to use both gas and propane.
