we bought this as we have a child with medical needs and we do not need to ride out any storms/blizzards with no electricity for his machines. I love that we can start this with a remote, and that we can use gas or propane, or combination of both!

New to the Portable Generator World

I bought this portable generator to help with any power outages due to storms. I am a single mom and wanted something reliable and easy to operate. I needed it to provide power to my sump pump, turn on the heat and a few lights. The electrician slowly explained to me how to operate it and it is very manageable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just bought this a week ago and received it yesterday. I couldn’t get it to run. I found the fuel solenoid valve on the bottom of the carb gummed up and sticky. Cleaned it up and it fired right up. It runs fine but I probably need to rejet the carb for my elevation. I load tested the unit with two 1500 watt space heaters and looked at the sine wave with my oscilloscope. With no load the sine wave is a little noisy but with a load it is surprisingly clean. I have only ran it on gas but I like having the option to run on propane. I’m happy and satisfied.

I can’t wait to put it to use. I especially love the dual fuel feature and the fact this this is a name brand item. I fully expect a Westinghouse generator to be superior to others. It even came with a remote start which I was not expecting. Additionally the hook up for the propane gas feature came with the hose and the adapter ready to hook up to a propane bottle. They have thought of everything including oil to put in the engine and a spark plug wrench when it comes time to change or check the spark plug. The quality of this unit is superior. It’s everything and more that I would expect from the good name Westinghouse. I looked at less expensive units but I felt the name Westinghouse was worth the price.

No more worries with power outage

Just bought as a back up to CA power outages to work with a transfer switch. Loud but a small price to pay to have water and fridges that will run.
