Westinghouse was recommended by my brother-In-Law. I have never owned a portable generator, but borrowed one because of living in hurricane alley. It was not a Westinghouse, and I did not care for the pull start. Because of the start of hurricane season, I figured it was time to own my own and we purchased the Westinghouse duel fuel electric start. After adding the supplied oil, connecting the battery and checking all the instructions, I hooked it up to the remains of a propane tank. Using the handy dandy Push Start button, that baby fired right up! Shut it down to double check oil, it was spot on. I tried again with the remote, and like a champ, it fired up! I hooked up a shop fan just to load it up a bit and it delivered!. So pleased with the purchase. I'll will have an electrician hook up my house, and be ready, if needed, for the next power outage.

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK ON THE MARKET!!!

Picked up from the store, took it home, assembled quickly, hooked up a propane bottle and hit the remote. Fired right up!! Even forgot to choke it, but it fired right up. The only downside is, I had to go buy a quart of oil to top it off, no big deal. The oil that came with it is not quite enough.

Bought this unit after days & months of reviews. Although I have yet to test the unit I’m relieved that my days of power outages are behind me. I’ve recommended this specific unit to multiple family & friends.

More than I expected

Just received a week ago. I haven't hooked up any cables yet, but went through the manual to set-up and initial start. Fired right up. No issues. The manual can be a little tricky to figure out, but if you take your time, you'll get it. I'm looking forward to getting the cables I need and once that's done, bring on the rolling black-outs. I'm prepared this time!

I bought this a month ago because of the many features it has...dual fuel and electric start. Seems sturdy and easy to move around. Hooks up great to our house through the generator panel and powers just what we need!

ready for hurricane season

We fortunately have not had the need to use this in an emergency situation yet but when we do we feel this generator is going to do it's job well. It's powerful and easy to use. I love the functionality of being able to hook up to my natural gas line without sacrificing too much output. We feel completely prepared for hurricane season with this generator.

I did quite a lot of research and finally settled on the WGen9500DF. It has performed exactly as expected through 2 power outages. I would make this purchase again.
