Perfect backup generator for my house

We lost power for 65 hours during the last two ice storms in Texas. It wasn't fun.
I vowed to get a back up in place to at least power my heater fans, lights, and necessities. After a lot of research I settled on the Westinghouse 9500DF as my best choice for the price. I love that it is dual fuel and I can easily keep a propane tanks to start it up and then later switch over to gasoline to keep it going.

I'm pleased with the remote start and push button start. It runs with less noise than other generators.

After searching for some time, this is the perfect generator in both power and dual fuel to meet my needs. Westinghouse has always had a great name, and once again they have lived up to it! Well built, easy to use controls, plenty of power and reliable. Just a great product!

Just what I needed

I bought this for ease of use as I travel a lot and wanted backpower for my wife. Out of the package setup was easy and my wife can get the generator connected in not time.

Nice sized generator

I purchased this to replace a gasoline only generator. The ability to use propane was a selling point for me. Trying to keep carburetors from gumming up with old gasoline is a hassle.

Easy setup

This was bought for a project that has no power hook-up. The set -up was so easy. I will advise that you read over the directions before doing the remote start pairing. It was very simple to do. Just take it easy!
The generator fired up after a push on the stater of about 3 seconds. Very impressed!
Also, it takes the whole bottle of engine oil and 5 gals of gas to fill.
