Easy to assemble & operate!

Bought this generator to replace one used as backup to the solar system at our mountain cabin. Easy to assemble & hook up. No problem pairing the remote starter. Did require the propane company to install a step down regulator on our 1000 gal tank to obtain the correct pressure. Runs like a champ and powers the entire cabin without a problem. Is surprisingly quiet for a generator this big. The ability to start the generator from the cabin when it's raining or snowing is a fantastic feature.

Great so far, although the frame looks used

We bought this (new) to prepare for another winter in South Texas, which may see some days without power. We tested it out and it works great so far! A couple of items that we noticed:
-- The bottom frame was all scratched up, like it might have been used or beat up during manufacture (see pictures)
-- The quart of oil provided didn't fill up the oil sump...only made it to the "L" reading on the dipstick
-- First start was a little rough, but it ran great after a few false starts
-- It is really heavy! Be careful trying to move this around. The wheels are plastic, but seem to support the weight sufficiently
-- There are a lot of switches, dials, and widgets to attend to. Be sure to read directions carefully!

A lot of generator for the money.

I bought this as emergency backup to my home solar. I shopped around quite awhile online comparing features and prices, and also found a couple of professional reviews that gave very high marks to the Westinghouse, comparing it favorably to other more expensive brands. The final decider was when a good friend of mine bought this same model and I was very impressed with it. I can power my whole house with this thing, so I’m all set for and grid failures.

Generator runs good, although it takes numerous attempts to start, provides enough power to use as back-up power for my homes necessities.
