This generator was easy to assemble. Ten minutes wheels and leveling legs where on. Oil added, gas put in tank, propane hooked up. Ran 2 hours with 1 gallon of gas (still some in tank) then turn handle from gas to propane without missing a beat. Ran another 2 hours. I had all lights on in house, 3 bathroom fans, 1 tv, ran dishwasher, washing machine, 2 refrigerators, microwave and a basement dehumidifier. Ran the furnace for heating as well. I used the 14-30 outlet to a manual interlock. This generator kept up without missing a beat. Extremely happy with this purchase for emergency power. After researching the Westinghouse generators kept coming up top of list in all reviews. Seems to be a very well built machine.
I bought this WGen9500DF back in Aug 2021. This is a great generator that is well built to last and it meets every expectation that I have. For the features that you receive with this generator, you would pay at least $200 more from another company also the assembly is fast and easy. You can not go wrong in purchasing a Westinghouse Generator.
Researched a generator that could be utilized as a whole home backup. After a lot of research this one seemed to be the best option and at this price point was a great deal. Setup was easy, battery came charged, and oil was provided. Started gen first time using propane and the remote starter. Started on second try and rpms equalized. Started to break it in per instructions and have no issues. Haven’t tested it by hooking up to disconnect I had installed on house yet but I don’t think it will give me any issues. Only con really is that it is fairly loud but most gens are. Hoping to be prepared for another Texas freeze!
Recently moved to a rural area where power outages are frequent. Assembly was easy with clear directions. Fired up right away. Its big enough to power all the essentials yet small enough that I can store it under my work bench in the garage. I set up the generator on one side of the house and the bedrooms are on the opposite and you can barely hear the generator running from there. Having the dual fuel option is great. The key fob is a nice touch I just don't see myself using that too often.
