Would 5star but it is really noisy. Buy this for your home, for EMERGENCY power or construction/home projects away from power. For that, noise isn't an issue. Its an emergency or a construction project. If you're looking for quiet, for camping site for example, look for a differene model. You'll hate the noise and so will everyone else in the campground.

Very affordable for a generator with 240V/50A output. I'll be able to run my whole house including the AC during the summer. I like that it runs on propane because gas is difficult to store but I always have a few propane tanks around. If we have a prolonged power outage, I can always buy a couple of cans of gas (it should be a little cheaper to run on gas and you can get 1000 watts more power when you do). The electric start is nice and the wheels and sturdy handle make it easy to move around. At 200 lbs, you will definitely need two people if you have to lift it.

Let's Try This Again

This is my second 9500DF. I used my first one once when I hooked up an interlock kit on my home. When I went to use it again, it would run but wouldn't make electricity. After swapping a few parts that Westinghouse recommended (and sent me), they told me to take it to their certified service center. They discovered it needed a new alternator. After almost 4 months and 2 failed attempts at shipping a new alternator, Westinghouse replaced the generator. When it works, it's great. Hopefully the second one will do better than the first.
