Great Generator! Great Value for the money!

This generator is chock full of features-including a trickle charger, ability to run on propane or gasoline, has 30 and 50 amp outlets, auto chock, remote start and more. Plus, in my opinion, it is much quieter than my previous portable generator.
My electrician installed an manual interlock system and we tested it out. Started my central air-28,500 BTUs with now problem. Also, started and ran my 50 gal. water heater with AC running-though he didn't recommend doing that due to energy
usage concerns. He was very impressed with this generator's handling as we put it thru it's "paces" in turning breakers on and off.

I hope I don't have to use it for a power outage, but I'm in Florida and this is supposed to be a really active hurricane season...so I have the peace of mind of knowing that I'm prepared- kind of like an insurance policy I hope
Also, I have read about how hard it is to connect the 50amp cord to the outlet on the generator due to its proximity to the top of the wheel. Yes, I did need to use a little effort to get the cord to bend enough at the top of the wheel to allow for me to plug it in properly but I don't feel it took that much effort but I know it could be different for others.
The one thing I am concerned about is that it's not supposed to be used in the rain. I wish that Westinghouse had an inexpensive way of housing the generator outside to protect it from the elements. However, I may have found a solution on YouTube for a DIY shelter...so we'll see.
Regardless, my first impression, and I will only use the propane, is that this is a really substantial generator.

Just bought the WGen9500DF model.
Waiting for electrical contractor to install connection to my house power supply. Planning on using when power goes out. I’ll let you know how it works after my first use.

I just received the Wgen9500DF and had an opportunity to test it for about an hour. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the generator as it related to everything being where it was supposed to be; fastened correctly, and the ease of getting it started. I had a previous generator from a well known company, and it worked, but was not well put together, and couldn't touch the Wgen9500DF in the way it functioned. It finally died, and this was the replacement. The Dual Fuel is another great asset. It's a great improvement. I feel ready for whatever comes along!

Excellent Generator

This generator allows me to be ready for hurricane season without needing to worry about gasoline. The LP option allows us to use the propane tanks we have for our grill as well as the larger propane tanks for our RV to provide reliable power with none of the storage hazards with gasoline. We dont have to worry about gasoline "going bad" either.

Did the research. Best ratings. Replacing a 20 year old Brigs and Stratton. Easy to assemble. Put oil in, added gas and fired up.

Met all my expectations

Looked for a good generator for over a month. This one is so well built. I was very impressed when I opened it. Hooking it up to a transfer switch for easy hookup, especially in the winter with a few outages each year.
