Received this the other day. I’m a 60 year old female, and I put the wheels and legs on by myself. I hooked it up to the propane tank I had and it started right up. I feel secure now when the electricity goes out because this machine is a beast!
I pulled this new dual fuel generator out of the box, installed the wheels and two feet, added some oil and gas and then was ready for the moment of truth. I flipped the switch and pushed the start button..... and .... it started right up with no problems! I haven't hooked up the 50A outlet to my home's 50A lockout connector, but will do so before the hurricane season starts here in Southwest Florida.
I bought this to run our camper and essential lights/outlets/appliances in our house in case power goes out. Haven’t had that opportunity yet but love the different power outlets, power, and other features. I’m actually ‘breaking it in’ as we speak. It is somewhat loud but guess that’s necessary for that amount of power. Btw love that in can run on LP Gas as well in case we can’t get gasoline. Confident it will meet our needs in an emergency.
I had 3 power outages in 2025 so far in southwestern PA due to severe weather storms on 2 occasions and a transformer fire on another occasion. The two storms left me without power for over 48 hours both times. I had to borrow a generator on all occasions being my house is all electric. I purchased this Westinghouse WGen9500DFc after researching and reading ratings and reviews. I haven’t fully used it for a power outagage but did the it with some tools. It worked great. Note: be sure fuel switch is in the ON position when trying to start it for the first time. So far I’m liking the generator and feel confident I won’t be left in the dark or cold if another power outage strikes.
I fortunately haven't needed to use it yet, but I did a test run and it fired up easily with the remote. I tested both fuel sources and they both worked great!
