This is my second Westinghouse generator. The first one has served us well for many days at a time during hurricane power outages. We ‘re upgrading to a little bigger unit with dual fuel. I think it is a very good value and and a solid machine.
I bought this in 2021 after the snow storm in Texas. Bought it and put it in the garage. Never put gas or anything in it. Went to use it for the first time, March 2025, and it would not start with new gas. Every step was followed to get it running. Not a newbie to generators. After trying electric start and pull start dozens of times I gave up. Hooked up the propane tank, switched valve to propane and it fired right up. Ran great with no issues running a HD hammer drill in rock. I’m going to reach out to their customer service and see if this is an issue and how to resolve. Will adjust rating as appropriate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear the generator performed well once connected to propane and was able to handle a demanding tool like a heavy-duty hammer drill without issue. We understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter trouble starting it on gas. Our customer support team will be happy to work with you to troubleshoot the issue and determine if there's anything that needs adjustment or maintenance after extended storage. We appreciate you reaching out, and we're confident we can help resolve this. If there's anything more we can do in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let us know at westinghousevip@wpowereq.com. We also look forward to your updated feedback once you've had a chance to speak with our team.
I bought this for use in Texas for my house when we lose power to keep us cool in the summer. Super easy set up, not too heavy, very mobile, and easy to operate. Can easily handle two portable AC units and multiple fans as well as three refrigerator. Exactly what I needed at a very reasonable cost
I bought this after installing a transfer switch to power my house in case of a power outage. I tested it with the AC, pool equipment, washer/dryer, etc. running and it handled everything with ease. Turns on easily. It is heavy, so difficult to manuver, but the long handle does a good job to keep it stable - even on steep slopes (like ramps to a shed).
I bought this generator a week ago to supplement my other solar powered work station.I was concerned about being able to get it setup and running but found the instruction manual well written, making in easy to setup and get running. I ran it both on propane and gasoline without any problems.
