Great Generator

I bought this for emergences but haven't had a chance to use long term yet. Setup was super quick and easy. I'm only using propane and it fired up the first time. Build quailty looks real good. Love all the power options it proves.

SO EASY TO SETUP

Purchased in June and received July 8th. Decided to go ahead and start up to make sure it worked. Put in gas and oil, pushed the Start button, automatically tried to start the generator, cycled twice and no start. I finally checked closer and the choke was not engaged. Corrected and pushed Start and....it started running. I love the push button start and the Key Fob Remote Start...it really works. I let it run about 15 minutes, shut it down, restarted it about 30 minutes later and it was so easy...just push the Start button or the button on the Key Fob and it started on the second try. Due to Covid-19, I am waiting on the electrician to get it installed to an outside 50 amp box which will connect it to my breaker box in the garage and will also have a special breaker installed so there will be a seamless transfer in case we have a power outage, which is likely since I live in Florida and we have hurricanes.
I thoroughly researched generators for months because I have never owned one. This Westinghouse generator is highly rated and recommended. It is rated to run the house A/C as well as refrigerator, lights, etc. Will have to follow directions to properly used when I get everything installed.

Great, but not perfect

Upon unboxing I was impressed. Got the feet and wheels on in minutes. Added the oil, gas, and went to connect the battery, but it was already connected. The battery was very weak and needed charged. Charged it over night and its fine now. It was VERY hard to start for the first time, The choke isnt operating completely right. I am going to call tech support today and have them advise. It doesnt fully go to the start position. After I manually set the choke to start the unit started ok. Overall happy with the purchase thus far.

Can't put a price on piece of mind!

I had done a ton of research and ultimately landed on the WGen9500DF for my power needs. I had been looking at this generator for several months going back and forth on whether or not to buy it. After several power failures and living on a farm with well water, I decided to purchase it. So far, I haven't had to use it for an extended period of time, but at first go, I have a good feeling about this piece of equipment.
It was very well packaged and protected. There really wasn't much to setup; just the feet and wheels (and they provided the 10mm wrench). It took a little to start the first time, which was to be expected, but after letting it run and break in a little, it started easily with the push button, remote control, and even the pull start. The motor runs very smoothly and consistently and surprisingly isn't that loud!
I tested it a bit on some power tools and the generator barely dropped RPM's and recovered almost immediately. I have a few more tests to perform to acquaint myself with it and be ready for when I need it, but thus far, I'm very happy with my purchase. I have much more piece of mind that when the power goes out, my family and animals will be safe.
