Great features

Last winter we experienced six power outages so we decided to purchase a portable generator that would provide enough power to supply all of our home’s electrical needs during a complete loss of commercial power. We love our Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator because it meets those needs by providing up to 9,500 running watts of power, has a remote start, and runs on gasoline or propane. It is so comforting to know we are now prepared for power outages in the future. After following the assembly and operation instructions in the user manual, the generator started on the first try right out of the box. We highly recommend Westinghouse outdoor power products for their many features, quality construction, and competitive prices.

Champ of a generator

Bought this recently as a back up genset but now it’s the primary. Connected the generator to my household propane tank and it runs like a champ! Tested it and it runs the house (well, ac, etc). One benefit of this generator is it’s easy start capability. My wife can start and stop it if I’m not at home and that’s important. And for a portable genset I found this to be quieter than my older model. We could actually have a conversation while it is running. Bottom like is that I would recommend this genset.

Great Generator, missing wireless remote.

I just unboxed my generator and set it up it has great features and works great. My only complaint was that the wireless remote start device was in the box of stuff they sent with the generator.

Super Generator with great features

I have had this generator for two years now. I start it every year at the beginning of hurricane season. Living in Florida and having lived through Hurricane Michael I appreciate the fact this is a dual fuel generator. Thankfully I haven’t had to use it yet in an emergency but it is here when I need it and it starts every time without fail!

I bought this on the recommendation of my brother who had purchased one earlier in the year. He gave it glowing reviews and I am in complete agreement! The dual fuel option makes it extremely convenient and I regularly switch back and forth with no problems. No question the generator is more efficient in the Gas mode but the flexibility to also operate it with propane is worth the drop in wattage/use time. The push button starts every time and the remote fob is handy and icing on the cake. Push button start is very convenient but you have the piece of mind of a manual pull start just in case the 12v battery gets low. I primarily use this generator to provide temporary power to a water well and a 50 amp fifth wheel and it does the job with ease. I demand reliability from my equipment and expect it to start when I need it and this generator has not let me down. Take care of your equipment, and it will take care of you and I expect this Westinghouse WGen9500DF will be part of my arsenal of tools for many years to come.
