I saved a ton not going the Genrac route. Unless you live where power outages are frequent, getting this generator is a nice trade-off. After extensive testing, I confirmed both my heat pump, well pump, and lights can operate simultaneous running on propane fuel. That was convincing enough for me. My original plan was to use gas, because at this time of writing it is ~30% cheaper per BTU compared to propane. But given I have a large buried propane tank, I'll settle on the more expensive fuel due to convenience, not having to store large quantities of gas, and dealing with old stale gas for emergencies. If I was able to siphon gas out of my vehicle this would be a different story. But most vehicles today have anti-siphon tanks. To feed my electrical panel, I installed a UL approved lock-out device to back feed. My recommendation is NOT to buy one of those knockoff versions which are not UL approved for your panel. In case of fire or some insurance claim, you do not want have an illegal electrical panel setup. Allowance varies from state to state, check with your electrician. But if you can legally do this, it is far cheaper than installing a switch panel and it feeds all your circuits instead of just a few, providing you do not exceed 9.5KW.

Easy to start, easy to connect!

I bought this about 2 months ago so that I can connect it to a transfer switch that was installed on my house. Easy to start, easy to connect. Powered the whole house (thought the load was reduced on purpose). Dual fuel is a dream for a stand by generator since you don’t have to worry about a gummed up engine that has been stored all winter.

Awesome unit with options

This unit gives you options. Gas or propane. Manual start or electric (or remote). 120V, 240V on the unit, or enough power to be used as a whole house unit. For the price it cant be beat as it comes with the wheel kit, handle, and the LP regulator. Plus the 3 year warranty gives you some comfort regarding durability. I would recommend this unit. The only negative is noise. However, I didn't see any competitive units that were quieter and offered the features this one does. They are all loud.
