I bought this because of the previous reviews. it starts great, runs smooth, and after just a short trial run it has the power needed to keep things running in my house, should power outages happen in my area.

We did a lot of research and I loved that this generator had everything on my checklist for features. When we hired the electrician to install it, he said he would have referenced this one to buy so we feel really good about our decision.

I bought this generator hoping I would never need it, and so far, so good. It was easy to assemble, and seems to be everything I was hoping for. Westinghouse is a brand I was raised with, so Im sure it will be a life saver when called upon.

Received in good shape in shipping container. The cardboard underneath had some oil soaked in - not sure of origin, but hasn't seemed to be leaking oil since I filled the oil. Started up right away on propane. Electrician who was installing plug-in to house tested all outlets for power while running, and everything was up to spec. Generator seems very well-designed. The only issue I have is that if you use a 50 AMP generator cord with a male plug that is perpendicular to the cord (most common design), the wheel interferes with the cord as it extends downward from the 50 amp outlet, tilting the plug outward from the bottom as it tries to seat in the outlet. This requires trying to bend the heavy cord at the plug (no easy task). Electrician said that some people will take the wheels off and put the gennie on a dolly, but that seems too much of a PIA to me. Since the tires are solid, I may try to simply cut a notch out of the outside edge of the affected tire for the cord to lay in so that it doesn't have to bend as acutely. My advice to others would be to buy a generator cord with a straight/ in-line male plug if using the 50 amp outlet, which would eliminate the problem. Other than that one design issue, I'm very happy with this generator.
