easy operations

bought product online, shipped and received in reasonable time, manual is thourough, minimal setup and easy operation. only used once so far but operated with no issues, started up first try. plan to connect to transfer switch and house electrical panel later this year. seems to meet my needs. all controls clearly identified. good value for size versus cost. would recommend it to friends.

We purchased this generator as a backup for our home if the power grid goes down at anytime and it powers our entire home! We had it wired by an electrician into the electrical panel with a lock out switch to protect anyone from being electrocuted. Best purchase we've invested in for our home in quite some time! We rest easy now and I highly recommend it as a home back up to anyone.

What a wonderful surprise

We had a tornado and lost power for 6 days in our rural home. We purchased this unit and when we needed it again it powered our entire house. Well pump, Central air, and water heater. I didn't expect it to do all of that.

Great unit and reasonably priced

All things considered, this is a fantastic unit for the price point. I've researched a ton of generators at this and similar power ratings, and around this price point. This thing starts smooth and runs smooth, handling power draw right up to its limits. This is a larger unit, but I'm fine with that considering how much it can handle power wise. Despite its size it has comfortable handles and can be moved around well. The remote start works well, although I can see limited scenarios when I'd need it so it wasn't a must have. This unit is louder than similar ones at the same size from other manufacturers, but at considerably less cos. I also have this for storms and disasters so it doesn't really bother me since I don't run it often. It also has a built in battery trickle charger which most other brands do not have, so you'd have to factor in the cost of an additional battery tender. Finally, what sold me on this unit was the dual fuel option. It gives me a second option in case I run out of gas or if the supply becomes scarce for some reason. We are in the country with a massive propane tank so I can always switch to that, even if the chance of needing it is remote. It was worth the slight increase in cost in my opinion and what pushed me to buy this unit and upgrade to this unit after a couple of years research from my older (smaller) one. I think this is the perfect balance of "major necessities" backup power, size, features, etc. for a very reasonable price. The next model size up is a beast and way overkill for most emergency backup situations.

The only thing I couldn't find was how much oil to put in it, so you have to pour a little, check repeat... :-(
