Truly solid power option.

Bought this about a month ago as we start to go into the colder months in Texas. Last February, much of the state was without power when the grid failed to keep pace with demand. Haven’t had to deal with that yet, but I have been using it every weekend to keep it ready by running several of my power tools as I work on projects around the house. Starts right up every time and has some really great features. Next thing will be to figure out the best transfer switch option for our home. You won’t regret the purchase!

Like the unit, but...

Like the unit, but it was extremely annoying and disconcerting to turn the gas valve on for the first time and have fuel leak all over my fingers. Now I will have to order a new part and drain the gas tank on a brand new, never been used generator.
Manual needs to be corrected. Feet do not install as shown. Holes are perpendicular to support bar, not parallel as shown. (page 11 ASSEMBLY) This being said, I was pleased the way it started right up and ran in below freezing temperature.

Very Happy with my purchase

I purchased the Westinghouse WGen 9500DF as an more powerful upgrade to my existing generator due to more frequent power outages here in California. My wife could not start our existing pull start generator so the electric start option is great. Dual fuel option was a must for me as I don't like storing large quantities of gasoline from a fire safety standpoint. Easy to operate and is 2.5 more powerful than my existing portable generator at the same size and weight. Really like the quick disconnect battery option and included battery charger to ensure I am ready to go when needed. Very happy with this purchase.

Received our generator and lost power 2 days later. The unit is working perfectly. It is a bit louder than I had anticipated but I will sacrifice a little noise to keep the family warm.

Powerful Gen

We used this on our off-grid property in 8 degree weather! It ran like a charm through the night. The set-up was easy. The dual fuel option will prove to be beneficial as fuel cost change! Battery, quickstart, remote start, low oil shutoff and fuel guage big plus. Guages easy to read and consistent running power. Looking forward to longevity with our new generator!

I bought this generator in anticipation of the upcoming winter freeze season. As a first time generator owner, I enjoyed that it was shipped cleanly and simple to put together. The documentation is well written and easy to understand even for a newbie like me. I love the ability to use propane as a fuel source since I use propane more than gas around my house. My only complaint would be that it came with conventional oil as opposed to synthetic oil. That isn't enough to knock it down a star however.
