Wires from battery have to be connected, dump in the oil, and then gas it up. Started right up and handled everything I threw at it. Rubber caps for the outlets were a little loose and don't seem to stay on well. Also one of the wheel mounts is slightly bent but it still rolls. Other than that, it's looking good. Will use it a lot on the next few weeks.

everything i wanted in a portable generator

just got it fri 2/28, charged up the batt fired it up on propane, took rite off. found it pretty quiet for such large gen. its gonna pretty much power my whole home in power lost situations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have purchased a lot of generators in the past and i am impressed with the quality and engineering that went into this unit. The generator came with a 1.1 quart of oil,enough to fill crank case to the low mark on the dip stick. had to add another 3 ozs. Started quick on gas on first try and also the same for propane. put a 4500 watt load and no drop in voltage.I will need this Gen for hurricane season. Highly recommend this generator.

The generator arrived without incident and the delivery agent placed it in my garage as requested. A suggestion for the instructions... when unpacking it is helpful to slit the box at all 4 corners and that allows a cardboard cushion for tipping the generator on end to install the 2 feet and the wheels. This save wrestling with the weight of it.
The assembly including adding oil went well. Connecting the battery was as simple as placing the connector together. The startup worked perfectly and the remote setup worked as documented. Connecting a 50 amp power cable to the generator was a bit of a tussel given the diameter and close clearance between the socket and the wheel but everything came together and functioned perfectly.
The next step will be a load test to determine exactly which household circuits I can energize refrigerator, water heater, a/c units etc and the associated trade offs.
Overall I am pleased with my purchase and the installation. The generator could be a little quieter but for the price we will put up with the noise... can't speak for the neighbors of course. I hope this is an insurance policy against having a hurricane show up on our doorstep.
