Best screen layout of any computer so far

I have used almost every computer on the market at this point. This one has some flaws of course but overall, it’s great. The screen layout, the brightness, and responsiveness of the unit all make up for its subpar battery life.

Love it, but....

I use quite a few Garmin products, including the Descent Mk2i. With the purchase of the Descent X50i, I want to use my Mk2i as a backup, but they both update on Garmin connect. I have quite a few dives logged and would like the X50i to pick up the dive count from Mk2i, but do not see that option. Would love to see a software update to allow this.

Nearly Perfect, Battery Life is Disappointing

I have been using the Descent Mk3i for Technical Diving for nearly 2 years, and the only issue I had with it was the small size. I was very excited when I heard about the X50i, and have been using it for about a month. So far, it has been addressing all of the issues that I have had with the Mk3i and more, and I love that Garmin is getting deeper into the diving game.
The main issue that I have with the X50i is the relatively disappointing Battery Life. While the Mk3i can easily last me 2 weeks of diving without of charge (while being used as a smart watch on shore), the X50i struggles to last 2 days of diving. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to trust this device as a primary computer...however, it has made a fantastic backup to my Mk3i.
I very much hope that Garmin make significant improvements to the battery life in future iterations (or future updates). Other than this point though, the X50i is a fantastic technical diving computer.

Great Technical Dive Computer - Somewhat disappointing Battery Life

I am a Technical, CCR, and Full Cave Diver and have been using a Garmin Dive computer for the past 2 years (Descent Mk3i). The X50i was a breath of fresh airs as the main issue I had with the Mk3 was to small size and lack difficulty seeing all the information I wanted.
I have been using the X50i for about a week now, and as a larger version of the Mk3, it is exactly what I wanted. However, the larger size and gorgeous screen also seems to come with a major drawback, which is the relatively short battery life. While the Mk3 will last me nearly two weeks of regular diving without needing a charge, the X50i struggles to last two days.
In normal circumstances, this is not a bit deal. However, when diving in relatively remote locations or doing long CCR dives, its hard to rely on this computer as a primary unless you are really keeping on top of the charging. Its not necessarily a dealbreaker, but it is a major stain on an otherwise fantastic product, and an issue that I really hope that they address in future versions

I was using the MK2i as my primary computer. Now using the X50i has spoiled me with its ease of use and large scree to see everything.

The ability to completely modify the screens for tech or recreational purposes and add/delete pages in the different dive modes is excellent. The trimix, multi-gas settings help immensely for the deep and cave dives.
