In the beginning there was a terrible whining noise that hurt my ears and I almost returned it. But after using it more it just went away. I love it. It's very durable and reliable

Great Pandemic Investment

I got this rower during the pandemic as I wanted to mac out my home gym while in quarantine. This was priced well below other water rowers (even used ones). Well, 18 months post-purchase, I am very pleased. Everything works smoothly and it's helpd up to my twice weekly rowing workouts. Great value for the price!

Good rower but not accurate.

I just picked one of these up. I had been using a stamina air rower at home and a concept 2 or water rower brand at the gym. I've kept a pretty close eye on my split times between the different machines. My new Sunny obsidian surge is wildly different that either of the other 3 that I've used. While I've been a consistent 2:25/500 meters this machine clocks me at almost double that time. I think it has to do with the way the meter counts the distance during the recovery. I have my tank filled to level 4 (just like the water rower at the gym.) It seems to require almost twice the strokes to travel the same distance. I should note that 500 meters kicks my but almost as much as 1k on the other machines so I like it but it's just not accurate in it's monitoring. If you're looking to track your progress against a group or larger community then this rower won't give you the correct data- BUT you are certainly able to track your personal progress and get an enjoyable full body workout. Oh and my feet keep slipping out of the footrests but I think I can find a fix for that.

Rowe easy to use, kind of fun actually. I use it as a base for my work out. The only drawback is the Led screen needs to be bigger, and printing on screen is backlit in black making it hard to read!!!!
