Great rower, not great rollers.

Love the tower but since I got it the plastic on the rollers has been coming apart. It’s very loud and I’m always trying to get it lined up to miss the little holes in the plastic. Seems like a manufacturing defect.

Water component cracked, and the place where the nuts connect the water bowl is leaking from every nut. Either a defective unit or poor designing.

Wonderful machine. I was able to put it together by myself in about 30 minutes. I am new to rowing machines, but I really enjoy the workout. I have found some beginner videos on Youtube.
The build looks fine and everything seems to be sturdy. I have been using about 4 times a week for the last two weeks and have no issues at all.

I absolutely love this rower! With the water as resistance, it pulls very smoothly. The machine is sturdy and the seat is comfortable.

It was easy to put

It was easy to put together, and the sound is quiet and soothing. It doesn’t offer much resistance, even filled to the highest level, so my workout doesn’t feel intense. The LCD monitor also zeros out on its own so I’m unable to track my time or any other details. Overall, it does the job.

Great Value and Excellent Workout!

Did quite a bit of research before purchasing the Obsidian Surge. Well constructed, sturdy and easy to move around. Others have expressed concerns with the pivoting foot rests, but it's a non issue for me. The performance monitor is basic, but allows you to track strokes per minute, total strokes, 500 m pace and elapsed time. Nice to be able to adjust resistance level by adding water. Overall, very satisfied!
